Towyn is a busy seaside resort in the County Borough of Conwy, North Wales. It is nestled in between Rhyl and Abergele with the Irish Sea lapping along the sandy shore line. Nearby towns and villages include Rhuddlan, St Asaph, Colwyn Bay, Bodelwyddan, Dyserth and Prestatyn. Towyn is within a hours drive of Chester, Llandudno and the Clwydian Mountains.
Tir Prince Amusement Park offers many exciting amusements, with a raceway and restaurant and funfair. Rides include the hair-raising Huss Flipper roller coaster, Z40 Zyclon roller coaster, the Apple roller-coaster, go-karts, dodgems, carousel, trampolines, slide and bungy.
A large open green space which boasts a Children’s Play Area, Skate Board Park and Duck Pond, is located next to Tir Prince.
Knightlys Fun Parks by the beach is the complete amusement park for the whole family,from toddlers to the grandparents. There are over 20 rides and attractions including the Dragon family roller coaster, Phoenix ride, Extreme machine miami but to name a few. Knightlys also has an amusement arcade, a pub with fabulous acts throughout the school holidays and weekends with free shows and entertainment in the huge beer garden and a kids' disco with the only outside bar in Towyn.
Towyn has a notable church, St Mary’s, designed by famous architect George Edmund Street. Consecrated in 1873, the building has an interesting patterned tiled roof and attractive Gothic Victorian glass windows.
The Wales Coastal Path meanders its way through Towyn and offers visitors a peaceful alternative to exploring the Welsh coast and countryside.
